A chic, intimate wedding tucked into the heart of Comox
There’s something enchanting about an intimate wedding on the coast—where every detail feels intentional, and every moment has room to breathe. Tucked into the heart of Comox, this celebration was the kind of day that lingers with you long after it’s over. Set on nine acres of lush waterfront property, Filberg Heritage Park offers a backdrop that feels both timeless and deeply connected to nature. Towering trees, ocean views, and heritage architecture created an atmosphere that didn’t need embellishment—just two people, deeply in love, and the presence of those closest to them.
The morning began in the soft, elegant beauty of the Old House Hotel, where Lauren prepared for the day ahead with her mom and sister. Surrounded by lush greenery and the gentle flow of the nearby river, the setting felt calm, refined, and deeply grounding. Natural light poured through the windows, catching on the delicate details as the girls did their hair and makeup. It was an unhurried, peaceful start to the day.
The bride embodied elegance. Her gown was classic and refined, with delicate buttons tracing the length of her spine—one of those details that feels both simple and unforgettable. Paired with a timeless pearl necklace, her look carried a sense of grace that perfectly matched the setting.
Before the ceremony began, Lauren and Joshua chose to share a first look—tucked away from the anticipation and energy of the day. With no audience but each other, the moment felt deeply honest and unfiltered.
The ceremony took place outdoors, surrounded by the natural beauty of the grounds. The ocean air moved gently through the trees as Lauren and Joshua prepared to walk down the aisle. With a smaller guest list, every word landed a little deeper, every glance held a little longer.
Afterward, the celebration shifted to Locals, a warm and rustic restaurant connected to the Old House Hotel. The transition from open-air ceremony to intimate reception felt seamless. Guests gathered around tables filled with incredible food, shared stories, and the kind of laughter that only comes when everyone truly knows one another.
There’s a different kind of energy to intimate weddings. They aren’t about grand gestures or packed timelines—they’re about slowing down enough to actually feel your wedding day as it’s happening. This celebration was exactly that: heartfelt, elegant, and deeply personal.
